Fourth of July marks the turning time for our espaliered apples. Fuji and Anna apples fill our baskets with shades of the mellow green and rosy pink summer crop. Our job is to eat, enjoy, peel and cook. We like apple pies, tarts and chunky apple sauce with cinnamon and brown sugar.
We are sorry to say that is a toasty 116 degrees outside today! That means it's a really good day to stay inside and peel apples!
